Mission Statement:

Browns Plains Baptist Church pastoral care support seeks to show God's face through love and good works by developing and sustaining a network of people who perform, inspire and coordinate deliberate acts of care and support for the body of Christ and the community.

Focus Areas For Pastoral Care Support

1. Hospitality and Fellowship

Implementing strategies for encouraging connections and the development of natural relationships to ensure that no-one in need of friendship or care will slip through the cracks.

2. Visitation and Prayer

Nurturing a network of carers with identified gifts in areas such as mercy, compassion, encouragement, pastoral care and prayer to be available to members fo the body of Christ, who may be in need of emotional, social, physical and spiritual care and guidance.

3. Crisis Care

Developing systems of accessing emergency support such as meals, babysitting, transport, etc for families in crisis due to illness, tragedy, financial loss, unemployment, etc.

4. Caring For Carers

Meeting and fellowshipping regularly so that the team of carers are given opportunity to seek physical, emotional and spiritual support and prayer to aid in meeting their ministry demands.
